Around the World
BCFS’ overseas division, Children’s Emergency Relief International (CERI), operates programs in Eastern Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia and Africa that help children and families in crisis.

 • In Eastern Europe, CERI teaches youth aging out of orphanages how to make it on their own and avoid becoming victims of human trafficking.
 • In Latin America, CERI provides community development, medical attention and spiritual guidance to struggling regions.
 • In Southeast Asia, CERI established Sri Lanka's first foster care system to provide loving homes for children who are orphaned by a raging civil war, family tragedy and the 2004 tsunami.
 • In Africa, CERI cares for children who have been orphaned by the AIDS epidemic.
